Question:

Is this bad for my corn snake?

got it Thursday and i fed it that night. she went for right when i out it in there. is it bad i didn't wait a while before feeding her? if so what will happen?

  1. You're fine.  Snakes won't eat if they don't want to.  Just make sure you don't handle her till she poops.  Make sure she has plenty of heat do help her digest the meal as well.  Basking temps should be around 85-90. on the warm end of the cage.

  3. I personally see no harm. Whenever I get a new snake I usually feed it that same day to make sure it'll eat and I can't remember the last time one refused. Many people say to wait a week, but this is more important with handling to allow the snake to become a little more comfortable with its new surroundings. If a snake eats the same day you got it, it obviously isn't very stressed out and this is a good sign.

  4. we had a snake and he ate all the time. the only problem we had was that he grew fast so don't worry about you snake eating to much.
