I found a 30 or 40 ounce Sam Adams in my fridge today that I forgot about and I'm thristy. It's been a couple years, but it's been in my fridge in the basement which is dark and cool. Is it safe to drink? Can old beer get you drunk?

  1. You 'found' it after two years? Does this mean that you have a particularly big fridge, or that you don't use it much?!!

Actually I have a bottle of Brooklyn lager which I know has been in my work fridge for over a year. Glad to hear its still good

  2. yea its drinkable

  3. if its alcohol you can drink it

  4. Chug it.

  5. It's drinkable, just probably not particularly tasty. It'll get you as drunk as 40 ounces of Sam Adams should get you (slightly tipsy)

  6. It is totally safe, just don't expect it to taste like a fresh Sam Adams.  It'll be interesting to see what it tastes like actually, I've never had one that old.

  7. It's probably 40.  Yeah it's probably fine and hasn't lost the ability to intoxicate.  If you're thirsty I suggest water.  Water's so d**n good.
