  1. I would say yes if if were doing a lot of concrete walkways.  I don't think you will beat the pressure washer for decks or patio.

  2. It's a pretty neat unit, but it looks as if all you can use it for is scrubbing flat surfaces; decks patios, garage floors, etc. Sort of a "floor scrubber on steroids."  I would love to have one (of course), but I'm pleased with my 1800 p.s.i. spray wand electric unit for these occasional cleanings, plus I can wash down the house with it, too.  My wife bought it for me; I'd rather have gas powered, but what the heck.

  3. Not necessarily, and here's why: The rotating head on the unit shown has a nozzle in it that shoots out a pinpoint jet of high-pressure water. That high-pressure jet is strong enough to bore into wood. So, what you'll likely end up with is a bunch of circles etched into the deck surface.

A standard pressure washer has a nozzle at the end of the wand that adjusts from a pinpoint spray to a wide, flat spray. This wide spray is what you use for wood decks, because it's not strong enough to bore through the wood, but it is strong enough to blast off anything on the surface.

I got the Husky 1800 PSI electric power washer at Home Depot a couple uears ago for about $180. I originally got it to clean the eaves of my house before painting and it worked great. I also used the pinpoint spray to remove some old paint from a concrete surface. But, that pinpoint spray would have damaged the wood.

  4. One answer pointed out that it is only good for decks and ground. Just would like to point out it is NOT just for scrubbing the floors and or decks, it also comes with a wand attachment, reverting it back to a traditional pressure walker.

If you have a very large area this would make some kind of sense. I doubt it will clean any better than a good pressure washer, but on large areas it will be much more comfortable to just walk behind and push as opposed to a constsant sweeping motion of your arms with the traditional wand pressure washer. Keep in mind when buying a pressure washer you want to last, invest in one that has a quality pump. The pump will be the first thing to go, NOT the motor.

  5. Will this pressure washer clean tile/grout and brick?

I have a really bad stained and mildewed pool area I need to get cleaned.

    Any help is appreciated

  6. rusty,

I really don't care what you use on your deck or patio, all I would want, would be to answer your question, "Does it clean like I want it to, and am I happy with it."  If you really like it and it gets the job done, go for it.
