Is this bread still good?

So, the bread says it's fresh by August 21, well, it doesn't look or smell funy. Is it okay to use?

bread = 5 days after date then start looking for the green spots, cut them out and plop the good into a pan and make croutons for your salads.

It's good until you start seeing mold. Bread mold actually produces sexually (gross to think of, I know). Thats how the mold spreads so fast. If  you're paranoid about it, don't eat it and buy a new loaf!

If it was in the fridge it should be fine. If there is no mold on it - it should be fine also BUT you need to check the WHOLE entire package.
