Hi! I plan on getting a hamster and buying this cage. http://i321.photobucket.com/albums/nn388/Wolf-Girl-101/photo-cage.jpg So would this cage be better for a dwarf or syrian? Also if you have any pics or facts of either breed I'd love to see them so I could decide which breed to get. Oh and if you have any other cage reccomendations like the habitrail Ovo I'd love to know! : )

  1. yeah its fine       pick a dwarf these critters are cute and small

Mines name is McLovin a.k.a. Snoop Ballz

  2. OK, that cage has bad vntilation. not a good choice! alos, the wheel s to small and cant be removed, it would get to small for a syrinian. if you MUST get this cage, a dwarf and clean it often!! like 2-3 times a week!  as for other cages the crittertrail 2 & 3's are awesome as well as this:

    get a silent spinner wheel:

OVOS are c**p, pelase do NOT get one!!

  3. I like the one with the attachments better because it gives your hamster more room. I would say either one is fine. (dwarf or Syrian)

    Good Luck!!!

  4. Keep in mind that you will need to be able to clean every part you add.

I used a aquaruim and had a running wheel inside and my hamster was plenty happy.

  5. I have a long haired Syrian hamster in this exact cage, with the same tubes as the picture, and it is plenty big enough for him. I also purchased a wheel that attaches to the outside of the cage and took out the wheel inside to give him more room to run around. This cage will definitely work for dwarf hamsters, but is plenty big enough for a regular Syrian. I also have two gerbils in the bigger, critter trail three story wire cage(not sure the exact name), but I would not recommend any wired cage, because the hamster will kick the wood chips out of wire cages and make a huge mess, and they are also much harder to clean. The wire critter trail cage I have was also extremely hard to put together and broke easily, but I have had the cage that you are interested in for about a year, and the plastic is very thick(so my hamster can't chew through it) and it is a very good, sturdy, mess free cage and my Syrian hamster has plenty of room in it.
