It's 30Lx15.5Wx14.5H

Of course my guinea pigs will have PLENTY of outside of the cage time :)

If it's not big enough, can you show me a cage that is big enough within a $50-$60 limit? Thanks!

  1. No. My two piggies lived in a 4' x 2.5' cage.

    Build your own.

Good for you for wanting to be a good pet owner, but that cage is just too small. To buy something the appropriate size would be $100+.

  2. there is a site that says the preferred size is 37"X37",but this is for living,if they get out enough that size would do,just make sure they get exercise....

  3. No, thats not big enough for even one pig. Build a C&C cage. You & your piggies will be much happier!  The cost for a 5' x 2' cage is around $40.

  4. It doesn't matter if they are getting plenty of floor time or not, that is DEFINITELY too small for even just one piggie.  Even if they do get lots of floor time, their sleep/wake cycles are different than ours.  I know that my piggies seems to get extreme bursts of energy late at night and early in the morning when I am in bed/sleeping.  They tend to have about 1 hour of high energy, then 1 hour of sleepy time and that cycle continues throughout the day.  They need a big cage so that they can run and leap and play and get plenty of exercise when they are going through their active phase and you are not around.  If their cage is too small, they can easily get overweight and unhappy.  The minimum cage size for two is 7.5 square feet, but 10 square feet is better.  The C&C cage which can be found on the websites below is a cheap way to customize and create your own cage for your piggies.  If you have a lawn, you can also take the cage outside and remove the choroplast bottom to give them some fresh air (just make sure that you either closely supervise them, or that you have a secure top incase any animals enter your yard).  Petstore cages are almost always too small and very expensive, so the C&C cage is what I would recommend for you.  Good luck!

  5. Thats no problem :]

After all, they are only in there to eat drink and sleep.

It doesnt need to be a mansion...

And your giving them plenty of floor time...

I dont see the problem, :/

    GO FOR IT! :D

  6. Nooo. That's wayy too small. My hamster lives in one about that big. Try Petsmart.com

  7. Justified and a few others above gave you great links to guineapigcages.com. This is the best and CHEAPEST way to build a big cage that will be perfect for you pigs.

  8. That's not even big enough for one, even with plenty of out of cage time.  It's true that many breeders and labs recommend small cages for guinea pigs.  However, do you want your guinea pig to live an adequate life or a spoiled pampered pet life?

I know I want my pets to have the best of everything and that includes a nice big living space.  It's kind of like how you could live in a room as small as your bathroom and survive.  However, wouldn't you rather live in a nice big house with lots of room to move around?  So would your guinea pigs.

  9. IDK it depends on how big the guinea pigs are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
