Is this camera worth it?

i want to use this camera for filming extreme sports and making home videos and upload them for high quality videos on youtube.

Its one of those 'swiss army knives' type of camera, has all the function, but doesn't do any of them well.

If you want an MP3 player, buy an MP3 player.

If you want a stills camera, buy a stills camera.

If you want to shoot quality movies, buy a camcorder.

It is pretty much a toy ... look at some video cameras made by Canon, Sony, Panasonic and JVC ... they are the leaders in the video camera arena.
