  1. Simply: Not listening to it because its "uncool" is not being yourself

Listening to it again can mean two different things; do you REALLY not like it or are you teaching yourself not to?

  2. You are still being yourself, you're probably having a change of heart about your tastes and interests, which I think is natural. Maybe you've outgrown this phase in your life?

  3. It's called growing up.

  4. opinions change as you grow. I think of myself as an idiot when i was younger. and i mean about 1 1/2 years ago. People can change fast.

  5. Anyone taste can change for any kind of reason. You could be getting older  or you found something else you prefer. Its normal

  6. I understand. I did the same thing. I used to listen to certain kinds of music and then started to really pay attention to what I was listening to. It was NOT cool and I didn't think that that kind of music would represent who I am and what I am about. I had just been doing what most people do and was listening to a 'sound' I liked. I started paying more attention to the lyrics of the music that I liked the sound of. Years later, when I heard the music again, I had trouble believing that I ever liked it and how I could have missed that.

Maybe your taste of music changed and maybe you were maturing. It all depends on the reasons you first liked it, then the reasons why you thought it wasn't cool.

    Hope I helped.

  7. Initially when they stopped listening they were not being themselves because they were letting others defination of cool influence their preferences.

Second go round it was changing, since they did make the effort to listen. Could be they outgrew the music, or they found something better. For me I find that my mood dictates my music selections, so may be when they tried to listen again they were not in the right mood for that music.

Either way people outgrow a lot of stuff, music is something people can outgrow and also grow back in, when the mood/situation is right.

  8. everyone has a change of style no matter what is could be. music says something about yourself so when your music style changes it means you have changed
