Is this city what u call an in-burb?

i live in a city called hamtramck...it is completely surrounded by detroit...but isnt like detroit at all.....it isnt poor...mostly lower middle class...it averages about 1 and a half murders a year....(that is not alot for a city its size) it has a few burglaries...about as much as the diffrent michigan suburbs....but its "city" like....is isnt rundown or anything it just has that vibe.....it isnt poor it isnt ghetto... its 69 percent white the other 31 percent is black,arab,indian,bengali etc...its like when ur in detroit and enter hamtramck u crossed into what eople call suburbs,its like a suburb surrounded by the inner city...what is the technical name for it though

  1. Many incorporated cities are sub - urban because the population density and concentration of businesses do not qualify them to be classified as "urban" but they are still cities.  Hamtramck is on the border of being urban because of the adjacent proximity of Detroit.
