Is this classified as paranormal?

I THINK i've had a few experiences, once i woke up at 2am when to the bathroom, then back in my room and looked in the mirror (lights were off) and i thought i saw a figure beside me, i blibked and there wasent anything so i didin't think much of that, one time i was watching tv on my bed and it felt as if someone was playing with my leg hair and rubbing my back, only once have i hear my name be called but no one was home, my cat was staring in a corner over my bamboo plant (coincidence my cat that was staring in the corner is completely black with green and blue eyes) and the plant was withered so i grabbed my english-japanese dictionairy and through it where my cat was looking, maybe spirits are atracted to me because i hate the bible and don't believe in god or jesus those three word p**s me off and anoy me, but i'm not a satanist, i believe a bit in spirits but i don't belive that there's 2 nice dudes in the clouds and a badass dude in our planet's core

maybe, but unless you actually saw something then it could just be your imagination. what I mean is like when you see a ghost right in front of you and you can see its face and everything then that's a paranormal event. but if you only saw a shadow or a shape and it was with the lights off then its not a paranormal event for sure.

You don't believe in God or Jesus but you believe in a bunch of silly spirits and demons?  Jesus was almost certainly a real person (personally I don't think he was any more than that), but demons and spirits?  There's no more credible evidence for them than there is for God.

I'm not quite in agreement with Dave S.  The word for things that aren't normal is "abnormal," and it is not the same as paranormal.  It is generally agreed that paranormal things are those which defy rational explanation and always involve some kind of supernatural cause or forces and energies which only ghost hunters and psychics seem to know about.

The fact that such phenomena very likely don't exist, is probably why the believers have been so frustrated in showing decent evidence for them.  People who believe in the paranormal would say your experience was paranormal.

A scientist would say there is a rational explanation for it and there is nothing supernatural about it.  Usually, the most common rational explanation is error or exaggeration on the part of the person relating the experience.  There is also a problem with memory if it was a long time ago.  Our brains re-work things according to certain prejudices.  Another well-known phenomenon is that when someone has some kind of hair-raising experience, these errors of memory and embellishments can become wildly incorrect, but the person believes them all.  

Sometimes such experiences were dreams we had when later, we didn't realize we were asleep.  These usually happen around the bed, but many peopl get up in a semi-sleep state and remember all sorts of things that never happened.  Finally, there is the possibility that something odd did happen and you just processed the information wrong or were unable to explain it, so all sorts of fanciful thoughts jumped up.  (By odd, I mean unusual, not paranormal.)

Denie, I disagree.  Most skeptics know more about these things than believers do.  That's why they don't believe in them.  I have had experiences where other people got all hysterical over something and knowing I was a skeptic, came to me to prove I was wrong.  After witnessing the phenomena for myself and explaining it, they backed down, but I was less popular, of course.  In one case, (an EVP thing), the person recognized his error and went ahead, undaunted, trying to prove that he was recording them.  He even set up a "school" for paranormal research, based on what he had been shown was just CB bleedover from I-95, which was less than 100 yards from his house.

It seems most ghost experiences occur around bedtime.  I have a hard time believing that is just a coincidence.

Believing in spiritual things is no less illogical from an evidence and reason standpoint, so I would think your atheism would dovetail well with a skeptical attitude toward the paranormal.

You know how men can't give birth to babies...and that's why they can't really understand what childbirth is really like? Well, it's kinda that way with the paranormal. Unless you've experienced it..you really don't know what you're talking about.

WHat does a Japanese-English Dictionary and a cat with green and blue eyes and an uncaring owner have to do with the story?

I do believe that you are ecperiencing something... but you have extraneous parts to your story that I do not understand. Also, if you are spiritual and believe in the good in the world I doubt that you should care if you are agnostic. I doubt any higher powers care either as long as  you follow the rules  towards the good of mankind.
