I have about 5 John Quincy Adams $1 coins.

The year of these coins are from 1825-1829.

Are they real or are they fake?

  2. look harder and see if  you can find the present year on there ok?

  3. 1825-1829 are the years he served as President.

    Try checking ebay to see if there are any on there.

  4. I would bet your coins are genuine.

    What you've described is the Presidential Dollar honoring John Quincy Adams. The coin was struck this year, 2008. The other dates you see on the coin are the beginning and ending years of Adams term in office as President.

  5. The coin is almost certainly genuine. The edge lettering is common to all of the presidential series $1 coins.
