Is this coin spendable in the US? And how much is it worth?

On the front it says V. Carranza and $100. On the back, it says, estados unidos mexicanos.

  1. No, it is not legal tender for any transactions in the US.

  2. You have a Mexican ("estados unidos mexicanos") peso. You can exchange it but you're not going to get a lot for it. You'll have to check exchange rates: www.xe.com/ucc/ Today it lists the peso vs. the dollar as 1 USD = 10.9725 MXN.

You can not use it in a U.S. store.

  3. it depends what coin you have.

  4. No, it is a Mexican coin.

  5. What you have is an old mexican coin. You cannot use it in the U.S or in Mexico. This coin would be worth about 1 mexican cent, which against the dollar it's not even a penny.

Here is a link to old mexican coins, the coin you have is there:

  6. Doesn't even sound like a valid Mexican coin.  Anyway, why would you think you could spend a Mexican coin in the United States?  Does not make any sense.  Also, that would NOT mean One Hundred DOLLARS.  It would mean one hundred PESOs...or about ten dollars.  May be an old or commenorative coin.  Take it to a coin shop to ask.
