Is this coming Sep a monsoon season in Bintan?

Iam planning a trip for 4 pple to go to Bintan. May i know what are some of the activities we can do other than water sports? It seems expensive to be holidaying in Bintan...Do you pple know any cheap places near Bintan lagoon resort? Thanks.

Yes, Bintan is an Indonesian Island located near Singapore. Still Bintan is a bit cheaper than Singapore. Although, it's not in Thailand, but it got the same monsoon as Thailand at the same time. September is pretty much towards the end of the season, but it very much depends year or year. Sometimes, it rains until the third week of November. This year, it was tipped that a big one is coming pretty soon.

About Bintan, it means star in Indonesian. It's a free port so shopping is one of the thing to do.
