  1. There are too many scams out there....Be aware.......Never send money up front for anything unless you are 100% sure of the company.

  2. If you don't mind them substituting "comparable" items that usually come in the camera box, a gray market camera or lens (or worse, non-OEM lenses) and being given "free" cheap tripods, lens cleaning kits and camera cases, then you will not be disappointed.

The best thing to do is buy from a reputable camera store either near you or on the Internet.  Here is a short list of some of them.

    B&H Photo

    Adorama

    Amazon

    Samy's

    Canoga Camera

    Ritz Camera (and their affiliates)

and just about any store advertising in the back of the popular photo magazines.

  3. Never heard. Since you know what they say....beware.

  4. Looks like one of those fresh off the boat trading companies that operate out of Hong Kong. They tend to be shady, and things can take up to a month to arrive. The prices are fabulous at them, though.

I suggest you try dealextreme. That one's a real site and a known quantity. They also sell shoddy bootlegs, but if you know what you want read the reviews and you can generally sort out what's what. They have military-grade flashlights for fifteen dollars, not to mention lasers powerful enough to set matches on fire from like 100 feet. Prices are better, too: things like crazy 100 button cell battery packs for 4$ with free shipping.

  5. SoSo:

Website was registered on 14-may-2007 but the site says 2003; switched registrars?  Retailmenot.com has a coupon code page for the site: (eleoffer)

Seems like a pretty unknown store, google products has some of their stuff linked though.

    Bad:

Geotrust certificate is for www.sunteksecure.com/ which claims to be a 7 year old UK store with product images in USD and a phone number of 877-513-3866.

Bottom line: I wouldn't.  Maybe a $3-$4 cable and see what happens if you really want to be daring.  Real daring.

  6. I would google the website and see if any reviews come up.

  7. mmm, I checked their site, they don't sound too scam-like, you do have to beware at prices like that, but don't forget online shops can get very cheap. It might be that they have very bad customer service, or that their products are all cheap-o ones... but if you think it's cheap enough, you might as well try it out. Not that much money to lose?
