  1. Radeon X1250 is an integrated graphics solution, I have yet to see one that will perform well under heavy gaming.

    http://www.legitreviews.com/article/467/...

"The integrated Radeon X1250 is clocked at 400MHz and has the ability to share up to 1GB of system memory.."

Shared GPU and system memory?  That is curious...  Have a look at this benchmark

    http://www.legitreviews.com/article/467/...

it runs FEAR at a whopping 17 FPS and putting in a 8800gtx gives it 223 FPS, I would say it is a bit lacking with hard core 3d gaming performance.

I would also examine the "Quality 450W PSU" very closely before considering any GPU upgrade.

That being said it looks like an awesome multimedia solution, with such a high memory capable GPU with HDMI output on board.

***EDIT*** just thought I'd check back, searched a bit on your case, and found this

    http://www.dlrcomputers.co.uk/galaxy-iii...

...which does not give much detail about the power supply.  I do know, that case-bundled power supplies are *usually* not the greatest performers and in the worst case can't even handle what is stated on the label.

I also found these while searching for a winpower 450w unit

    http://www.xcase.co.uk/p/375624/winpower...

IMO a better unit would be the Antec EA380, despite being a 380w unit it has better +12v combined power than "generic" 450w at a decent price point.

Of course, check http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psuca... to see if your pc / gpu choice will not exceed it.

    cheers

  2. I'd save up for an ATI 4850 provided, of course, that you have a PCI-Express X16 slot.  Not gonna play the big games like Crysis and COD 4 very well with an ATI 1250. You have the cpu and ram covered thou. Demos are out for a lot of games.

If the game has a demo try it before buying a game to see how your rig fares with that game. Thats an ideal rig for video editing with the quad and 8GBs of ram but, if you wanna game well with it you will need a lot better graphics solution.

  3. Rock on, nice comp, but it could have been better if it was Intel Core 2 Extreme. Your new comp should be able to handle all the new games available as of right now, try out Crysis to test out its limits.

  4. yahh itll do any game you want even crysis

  5. yeah it should run anything out there
