I am starting school next week and there is this teacher that I had who I think is flirting with this student. It all got started last year and pretty much everybody in my class suspected that she is flirting with this one student. Sometimes she gives him intimate eye contact, pats him on the head or leans her hand on him. Sometimes she gives him special attention and sits too close to him. She is a special eduacation teacher( I have a hearing loss) and I want to sort this out. If this is happening again I will do some more investagating.

  1. I would consider that odd behavior.  I wouldn't rule out that she's flirting, either.  Take into account facts of the situation.  Is the kid at a greater disadvantage than the rest of the class?  Does he require more attention than everyone else?  That may explain why she sits closer to him and gives him all the attention you mentioned.  If he is the last one in the classroom everyday when everyone leaves, that is a red flag and a bad sign.  Keep taking notes, and watch.  If you see anything bad, report it to your principal.  In the meantime, don't let your imagination take over.  She may just feel sorry for him more than the others.

Additional Details:  I would report this to the principal.

  2. Intimate eye contact?

    Special attention?

    Sits too close?

Trying to see a case of flirting in this example is really lame.

I think you're just jealous because she's not touching you on the head and giving you the attention.

  3. Before this idiot teacher gets in trouble, report her behavior to the school administration - What she is doing, ( according to you ) is very wrong !
