Ok, so, I want to lose between 3-5lbs and I've promised myself I'm not going to eat junk (chocolate, sweets, chips, candy, pop) until Christmas. Tonight, I wasn't thinking and I had an oatmeal "cookie". It's pure oatmeal (no chocolate or anything fancy). I'm just wondering if you'd consider that junk or not. Ugh.

  1. It's junk food, has sugar in it... it's a cookie...come on now.

  2. Oh PLEASE people!  This is a perfect example of a diet that's NEVER GONNA WORK!  EAT THE d**n COOKIE AND STOP OBSESSING OVER IT, IT'S FINE!

  3. I'd consider it junk. It is a cookie

  4. Junk food!It is a cookie.Try buying some Special K snacks..delicious and only 90 calories.

  5. Well it is oatmeal, true, BUT its loaded with as many calories as a chocolate chip cookie, not to mention other things that aren't great for you, and dont forget its still a cookie which is junk food. But you should treat yourself once in a blue moon, it'll make things much easier, especialy if its just an oatmeal cookie ;-)

  6. You can't really know whether its "pure" oatmeal unless you made it yourself, there's probably lots of sugar added. Try to avoid that stuff from now on; if you avoid sugar (not the kind in fruits) and chocolate, etc, and eat fruit for sweetness, then u can reprogram your taste buds to crave the natural sweet taste of fruit, instead of candy and soda. Of course one oatmeal cookie won't make you balloon overnight. It was probably only about 50-80 cal. But tomorrow, try to eat as clean as possible to make up for it, and exercise. Good luck :)
