Is this copyright or not?

I've seen the dark knight several times. My friends showed me a link were I can see it for free. the site is not based in the USA but if I watch will I have "big brother" knocking at my door. Any proof (links) would be great thank you.

  2. it is copyright it is not right to watch it but thousands of people do  and no no one will come knocking unless they find out who are watching

  3. Technically you are a willful participant of the infrindgement and subject to prosecution; however, if you watch it you should be ok. The person sharing the movie (despite the location) may still be subject to US copyright infringement laws and punishments due to international treaties.

    You should consider the ethics of what you are doing and never provide personal information or sell what you have illegally obtained. This is not an endorsement for poor behavior.

  4. If you made a movie and lots of people contributed and you spent a lot of money producing it would you want it to be available for free? Of course it's copyrighted. Many people who contribute to making a movie actually make very little money (the guys running the errands, doing to sets etc.) and would you want to deprive them of their livelihood? If I were you I'd just wait for the DVD.
