Is this correct? It's pretty basic Japanese :P?

Trying to say Tanaka's major is Japanese, too.

Tanaka san no senmon mo nihongo desu.

I think that's right but it just sounds a little weird. If it's not, can you change it so it's right, please?

  1. we can translate major as senkou in Japanese.

    senmon is still ok, but I think senkou is better.

    senmon = 専門

    senkou = 専攻

    Tanaka san is a student? If so, senkou is better absolutely. 

    Tanaka san no senkou mo nihongo desu

    田中さんの専攻も日本語です。


  2. nancy is right but if your taking japanese 101 they teach you to use senmon.  your sentence is correct.
