Is this correct Japanese? 私は私の日本語を向上させる！?

Question

Does that say "I have to improve my Japanese?" My kanji is really bad so I do not know if I used the correct characters to say that.

私は私の日本語を向上させる！

"しなければならない" is for "have to".

So

"私は私の日本語を向上させなければならない。"

is good for "I have to improve my Japanese." by word for word.

If you don't care, I would translate as bellow.

私は、日本語を上達させる必要がある。

私は、日本語がうまくなる必要がある。

私の日本語を向上させる sounds better, but I haven't spoken Japanese in a good while. I speak Mandarin Chinese now. :)

Watashi wa watashi doesn't sound well. I could be wrong though.
