Is this crazy to do?

Is it normal for a wedding not to have a flower girl or ring bearer? What can I do to substitute?

You are not crazy, it is normal not to have them, you do not need a substitute.

Thebest man keeps the rings until they are needed, the officiant cues him, and he gets them out of his pocket. Since most people do not tie the real wedding rings onto the pillow the child is bringing down the aisle, you won't be missing anything.

The flowergirlthe same thing, she does nothing in the ceremony except be cute. You do not have to replace her with anything.In fact, I can't remember a wedding that I went to that had either!

I'm not having either. You don't really need a substitute. Our best man is holding the rings and we aren't having flower petals in the aisle.

they're a bit pointless in my opinion, I've only seen them in a few weddings so you certainly don't need to have them and don't need to replace them with anything

I am not having either in my wedding. I don't even think there will need to be a substitute.  They're cute but not necessary.

They're not necessary and you don't need to substitute anything.  We didn't have them at our wedding.  Just have one of the groomsmen carry the rings in his coat or pants pocket.

there are absolutely no rules for a wedding, so no you don't have to have them.

I probably won't have either one, but my wedding is going to be pretty small.  my fiance will probably just carry the rings in his jacket pocket so they are there when we need them and i don't really want to pick up a bunch of flower petals afterward anyways.  if you don't want a ring bearer or flower girl you don't have to have them, but you can't really substitute anything for them, just do without.

I thought that it was weird at first as well, (when I was looking over the list of the bridal parties), but it is not necessary. We are not having any, and are not replacing them with anything else.

I'm going to have a ring bearer, but not a flower girl.  My ring bearer will roll out the aisle runner for me, then grab the ring pillow and walk down the aisle.  I think you can do whatever you want to do. It's your wedding.  :-)

I'm not going to have either of them either, and I'm not going to substitute for them either don't need them and don't have to have them just more clothes to pay for.

Not all weddings have those. We didn't, and it was fine. We each had four attendants.
