Is this deja vu or what?pretty scary!?

so i had this dream that this guy in my school who is practically in luv with me and also likes my bff didn't like us anymore when back to school came and just completely ignored us and the previous night my bff had the same exact dream, except in her dream we went to a voodoo lady to turn ourselves pretty and thats when he became possessed with me and kept beating me and threatening our children. and today i was cutting up a piece of yam(sort of like potato,but with harder tougher skin) and a minute after cutting it up, my face and arms began to itch me and burned terribly and now i have this rash like thing on the whole left side of my face. they look like bumps waiting to come out but now theyre going down a bit. what does this mean?

The dream is probably telling you that the guy has moved on. I guess it gave you a heads up before you get back to school and he shows no interest in you or your friend. You also could be missing the fact that someone you see or sees you everyday has a crush on you. But, if you get back to school and his feelings really has changed don't feel bad. Move on; it's a part of life. Not sure about the deja vu part. It can be shocking that two people have the same dream. Not so much if they are friends.

As far as the yam, you probably just had an allergic reaction. It happens. People develop new allergies and grow out of allergies as they get older.

Deja vu has nothing to do with dreams that you see nor that coincidentally a similar dream that your friend has.  Deja vu is when, in the present, you feel like you are experiencing something that you already have experienced, with the exact same people, exact same place, situation, etc.  You usually get a funny feeling running throughout your body while experiencing that deja vu, or reliving of an experience.  

The yam situation has nothing to do with the voodoo you spoke of, the guy, your dream, or anything similar to that for that matter; you simply may have some type of allergic reaction to yams or something else that you encountered that day (chemicals? other food?  lotion?  new soap, shampoo, or conditioner?) It could be anything but the dream; no connection.
