  1. Gees, its a mutt.

Why do you need a designer breed?  Why not go to a local shelter and find a small dog puppy there instead of paying HUGE money for nothing more than a mutt?

As for the bow... remember its a dog, not a toy for you to dress up and you will have a happier and better adjusted dog.

  2. Before I answer your question, I have to ask...WHY ON EARTH DO YOU WANT TO PUT A BOW ON A DOG?! Anyway... here's some websites and info on Cockapoo's:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cockapoo

    http://www.jandazcockapoos.co.uk/

And here's what they might look like:

    But I also like Jackadoodles:

  3. Cockapoos are mutts, exactly like the ones being put to sleep every day, but more expensive and riddled with health problems.

Because they're mutts all its traits are unpredictable.

A yorkie from a reputable source is 10x better than a cockapoo. No responsible breeders breed mutts.

  4. First of all I want to say that I didn't set out to have a cockapoo, but I do have one, and I think he is a great puppy.  I did get him from a breeder, but before anyone hangs me out to dry, I do have a rescued dog as well, and I also have 4 rescued cats.  He is the only one we bought.  If you are going to get a cockapoo, I would suggest getting one from a repuatable breeder who is going to guarantee health of the dog.  They breed 1st generation litters from a female cocker spaniel and a male miniature poodle (both registered).

It is true that they can have some health problems.  Pepper has bad skin allergies.  He has been referred to a dermatologist, but I need to tell you that when we got him, we didn't check out his breeder.  So do as I say, not as I do...LOL

Pepper is 6.5 mth old and weighs only 16.6 lbs.  I don't think he will get over 20 lbs.  He is very short too.  I think the perfect size for an indoor dog.

As for the bow, I guess you could put one on Pepper, but I wouldn't ever want to...he's a boy, and boys don't wear bows.  LOL

Lastly, I would love to say that Pepper has a great personality.  He is sweet and loving and feircly loyal.  He is very smart and picked up training quick.  He loves each family equally instead of picking one family member and then tolerating the others.  I feel blessed to have him.  He is a sweet boy.

    I hope that helped some.
