  1. i think it might be ok but if you wnat to be on the under stated side, then go with a simple black dress with no firls or scraf. but i think this dress is a great choice. take the scraf, just incase you want to make it more formal.

  2. not at all! black is an elegant color that goes perfect. and you can never go wrong with a black dress. its also a slimming color ; D

  3. In My opinon i think it is too formal~but that's just me i normally wear dresses that go down to about my knees! I think dresses that go the my feet are too formal but that's just me

  4. Hi..This is beautiful dress..but as per my last visit in Carnival's Captains dinner, this dress will be little loud.

    Dress subtle and comfortable.

Don't miss your complimentary wine from the captain and be on TIME.

  5. no, its fine

    don't worry about it

and enjoy your time and have fun

  6. What is nice about the formal nights is that you can dress up as much as you want. Some people only wear nice pants and a nice blouse, where others dress to the hill. Me personally, I like to dress up, because I never get to dress formally anywhere else, so I wear a formal gown and my husband wears a tux. I think that dress is beautiful and if you like to dress up, I say go for it. Have a great time.

  7. if you already own this dress then go for it. i have seen everything from prom and bridesmaid dresses, to mother of the bride and short cocktail dresses....if you are comfortable in it then wear it, part of the fun of cruising is dressing for dinner

  8. That is gorgeous and quite suitable. You will find that you don't have to dress up. The formal evenings are just the captain talking to the passengers from a balcony for a few mins, then you just go and do as you want for the evening.

There is every which way to dress on a cruise, many still wore their casual gear, some shorts, although they are not acceptable in the restaurants but those wearers probably dined in the buffets

  9. no I think the dress is perfect I would want my wife to a dress like that for one of are formal nights in January.

  10. It is a very pretty dress and is just right for the occasion. I have worn everything to a very formal gown to a pretty top and pants outfit. They are not strict about what you wear and I think why not dress up sometimes in your life. Cruising gives you the opportunity to dress up and feel right at home doing so. Like I said before, you will feel like a princess dressed up.

  11. It's perfect.  You won't stick out at all.

  12. Don't worry about it you'll look great. The dress looks beautiful..just do me a favor and have fun and enjoy all the great food and shows.

  13. I don't think so everytime I go on a cruise, I wear a prom dress type dress for both formal dinners.
