Is this earwash safe for my ferret?

ok, there isnt any earwash for ferrets available at our petstore we have an earwash for cats and dogs is it ok? the ingrediants are: deionized water, propylene glycol, aloe vera gel, SD alchohol 40, lactic acid, glycerin, dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate, salicylic acid, fragrence, benzoic acid, and benzyl alchohol. if this isnt safe then what else could i use?

  1. They do make ferret spefic ear wash. I woudln't use any other kind. If you do you're risking seriously injuring your ferrets ears. They need low acid cleaners so as not to cause damage so it's important to use the right one.


  2. no it isn't at all. Just use plain olive oil or vegitable oil. This is what i use for my 3 ferrets. works great
