Is this enough experience???

Question

i want to become an actress. i am taking a class this summer for a week and its only working on the arts ( theater,music, dance) then at the end of the week there are having a festival that im going to be in. then they have extra classes at the festival to take. i have also been in a church play. is this going to be enough experience to get an agent so i can try to be on disney channel?

um i dont think so. I am signing on with several different agencies in the middle of August, i already have oppts they've just been waiting for my braces to come off.

But i have been doing theatre since 2003. i do three shows a year and have worked with some of the best known directors in the valley. I think u should try to do more shows at a local theatre. because church plays aren't always the greatest example of your 'experience'. :) keep working!

try joining a drama club..... if your school has one

take as many acting classes as possible...

try out for as many plays as you can!!!

Agents are less concerned with experience, though it is a good thing and all of those classes and such are great steps forward, than they are with marketability.  David Boreanaz, Angel from Buffy and the FBI guy on Bones, was discovered walking his dog in LA.  He had a good look and somebody decided that he could be marketed.  If you have a good look, and some ability, an agent will snatch you up.

Yes def! I've had an angent since i wanted to be an actor. And when i was that young i didn't have any experience. But as for disney thats a 1 in 10000 type thing. But i hope to watch you on the micky mouse station soon!
