Is this etiquette ok for having guests over?

I don't put out air freshener in the bathroom bc I don't want to encourage people to p**p and stink it up. I hope that they see there is no air freshener and decide to save it for home. Is this ok etiquette?

  1. As long as the famn  works and they use it you should have no problems

  2. I think it's fine not to put out air freshener, but realize if people have to "go" they probably do so anyway.

  3. When you have to go you have to do.  Air freshner is NOT going to prevent anyone from using your bathroom.  In fact, air freshners are chock full of things that are bad for you and not everyone uses them so your guests may not even know there is any significance about your not having an air freshner in the wc.  If you don't want them using your bathroom, seal it up.  That'll reall send a mesage.

  4. If you can't handle people using your toilet the way it was intended, don't bother inviting people over. That's just common sense... and common courtesy.

  5. People who have to go to the bathroom are not going to notice that there's no air freshener and change their minds. They are going to the bathroom because they have to, not because they want to.

I agree that most people would prefer not to p**p in someone else's house, so it they do it it's because they don't have a choice. Just tell people before they come over that you don't want them using your toilet as a toilet, then they can choose not to visit you.

  6. Why not ask everyone to p**p before coming.  That is so rude on your part.

  7. Maybe....but when you gotta go...well...you gotta go.

  8. No. If they have to go, let them do it. Usually people don't like to go in other  people's house anyway. If they need to, it's probably an emergency.

  9. I would feel uncomfortable pooping anywhere but home but sometimes you have no choice.  I wouldn't use your air freshener because in my opinion it does not freshen the air but adds phony flowery smell to make the p**p even more obvious.

If I have to - I courtesy flush and pray it isn't a stinky one.

I would never, however, make someone feel uncomfortable because they used the toilet when they needed to - that - would be bad etiquette.

  10. I am sorry but I thought that the bathroom was for pooping.  So you want your guest to feel uncomfortable at your house.  When did doodooing become such a cliche in our society.

  11. When you gotta go, you gotta go. that would not stop most people that gotta go.

  12. Jeez...ya know, sometimes people can't hold it lol. So I think it's kind of rude to think that way...even though it is your own home, if someones gotta go, they're just gonna go.

  13. if you dont want your guests to go maybe you should consider getting an outhouse
