  1. You could end up with many injuries from pointe shoes. Even dancers who have been studying for their whole life get injured from pointer shoes. Its not a good idea.

  2. NO.  Do not even attempt putting on pointe shoes without an OK from your ballet teacher. Not only will you injure your toes, your ankles will not be strong enough and you can easily break them, causing serious damage to your feet and legs.  If you really love ballet, enroll in classes at your local dance studio.  But if you just want pointe shoes to mess around with, don't buy them.  Trust me, you will regret it later.

  3. NO.

    Dont attempt it.

    Im a pointe dancer.

It already screws up my toes and ive been doing for years.

Dont try, u have to be trained for it or u could serisouly damage ur feet.

Take it form someone who knows.

  4. No! Even for those who have been dancing for years, the pointe shoe is not a progression to be taken lightly. As well as the dangers you pointed out to your toes, attempting to work en pointe without proper training poses dangers to your ankles knees and even up to the hips. The last paragraph of http://www.pointeshoefitting.co.uk/index... that article could be useful to you.

  5. you could seriously hurt yourself...i wouldn't even attempt that...dancers make dancing on pointe a lot easier than it looks...but it is really very difficult...and also pointe shoes are very expensive so i wouldn't waste my money...unless you really want to...but just be aware of the fact that you may seriously hurt yourself

  6. OMG no!! You must have years of ballet training and prepointe classes! Even if you have been dancing for years you can hurt your feet. I know somebody who broke their foot on pointe shoes and they had been on pionte for years and they can no longer be on pointe. If you want to buy a pair of pointe shoes you first have to buy your ballet shoes! I just got my pointe shoes this year and I have been taking ballet for 6 years! You can damage your feet really bad not just from standing on your feet but doing more complicated stuff. And you also need to properly break in you shoes. If I were you I would not waist $80 dollars for that!

  7. Oh my goodness!  Sorry, this isn't an answer, but I was wondering the same thing!  I did ballet and stopped way before getting to pointe level, and the other day woke up and ordered pointe shoes.

Thanks for knocking some sense into me with regards to my personal safety!

  8. its not really safe but hey who's stopping you?
