  1. If you want to be stuck in a succession of dead-end jobs for the rest of your life, drop out.   Otherwise, stay in school.

I know there are rare exceptions but they are extremely rare, so consider your choice carefully.

In addition, the kind of job that pays no taxes is also the kind of job with no protection, no unemployment insurance, and an unlikely future.

  2. Don't even think about dropping out.  $10 an hour plus free food while you are working might look like a lot when you are 15, but trust me on this, it won't look like much 10 years from now.  Stay in school, and work on getting your grades up at least to passing everything.

    Good luck.

  3. NEVER DROP OUT OF SCHOOL!  keep the job somehow, but seek alternatives such as the GED (US) or some other form of finishing your diploma.

My daughter wanted to go into the military at age 16 (little brat is now a secret service agent and making more than I ever will!)  However she needed to finish high school

I signed for her to go to an alternative ed school (do at your own pace etc) and she did a whole year in a couple months and then went into the AirForce at age 17 (thank God!)

So check out the alternative schools and keep working and finish you school and THEN go to college!

You can email me at andreaallred@att.net if you'd like to.  I am in human resources and also a tired old mother of two very successful daughters both with college degrees now.

  4. If you drop out of school then the chances are you will earning as much in 20 years as you are now!

DON'T drop out. Work harder and get better grades. The rest of your life is not worth the sacrifice.
