  1. You are just right.  In fact, you are on the slim side.  Don't go into that industry.  It will cause you physical problems.  They will consider you too fat and they will want you to starve yourself.  They want to see skin stretched over bones.  That is not healthy.  Be yourself and be happy.  This industry will not make you happy.

It is hard enough on us normal people and normal girls who cannot look like a model to do something about it.  It is hard on young girls to want to look like a model and be that skinny.

Please don't do it.  You are perfect just the way you are.

  2. To be a plus size model, you need to be at least 5’8” (5’10” is preferable in the bigger markets like NYC, Miami, L.A., etc.) and fall between sizes 8 and 16/18. That's in Australia as well. Yes, plus sizes start at size 8 as far as agencies are concerned, so yes you'd be a plus size model, but not necessarily a plus size person on the street.

The straight size girls who are working now are your height and reach a maz of size 6, with the top girls only reaching a size 2 or 4, so you're bigger than them by a few sizes. So commence with the mortification!

  3. depends what kind of model, cat walk models are normally size 8 but that's only a dress size smaller than a 10, so who knows maybe they thought there was something special about you.

  4. For your height, you are about right.

  5. The standard weight range for fashion models is 45 - 60 kg.

  6. what the h**l?! thats not fat! god just insult me now, I'm a aus. 12. i think plus size models are usually size 16 i think. Do not go into the modelling industry please! My sister had anorexia and it was not a pleasant experience for her or anyone else around her. She lost around 30kg from 70kg (shes about 170cm) and wouldn't eat hardly anything and excercised herself to the extreme of collapsing. She was NOT fat (i think size 14 ish) but no just because everyone else had to be frickin tossers and say she was fat, she became anorexic. It can give you some really bad health problems, and if it gets too serious your organs will fail. Especially your heart. btw she's a healthy size 10 now and recovered from it.:)
