  1. when buying stuffs always buy in the middle range cos if its cheap then mostly its no good for long term.Don't have to compare cos mostly its design in this way ready for price wise consumer.U just have to ask if its suitable for what type of fishing n maintenance after sales.

  2. NO!

    Sucky!

Get one that runs on a 12 volt.!

    Get a Humming Bird!

  3. Might be a good unit for Ice fishing, but on a boat you will be replacing batteries about every trip or every other one(depends on how long you fish)

The Hummingbird Matrix 12 Lists for $149.99

    Eagle makes a Cuda series from $79.99 - 135.00.

This company (which I buy all my electronics from) also has a FishMark 320 $149.00

Hummingbird & Eagle (owned by Lowrance ) make good reliable products that are way under your $200.

Or go to Three Rivers Marines Web page and look threw what they have.  Do not be afraid to do business with them, great company and great customer service!

They even have a toll free phone # to order or to ask questions!

(listed at the bottom of the link below)

Fallow the instructions on mounting the transducer to the letter(no matter what unit you get) or the unit will not preform up to its full capability.

    Good luck and happy fishing.

P.S. A hull mounted transducer will always out preform any other kind !
