I have an old flint lock musket that my grandfather gave to me. It's a little beat up but looks really old and authentic. He died before I could find out about it.

It has the name "MOORE" engraved in the flint lock metal and a picture of a duck being chased out of some swamp reeds by a blood hound.

Is it worth anything? I can't find out a whole lot on the web. thanks!

  1. it will be when its like 50 years old

  2. http://books.google.com/books?id=QK39J3T...

  3. The engraving suggests that it's a sporting shotgun.

In good condition, it might have considerable value,

but only to a specialized collector.

    Keep it in Grandpa's memory.

  4. Check here for a similar flintlock.>> collectorsfirearms.com.. and  icollector.com...   Values should also be listed also.*

  5. Charles Moore percussions can be worth a good amount. He mostly had his name on pistols. Any idea on the caliber or ball size?
