Is this forum good?

I have been on a British forum for some time now and someone said that Yahoo Answers SA is a intresting place. Any info on this forum will be appreciated.

I agree with Cakes....a better description of Yahoo SA has never been posted. Except that she did not mention that we have become highly suspicious of people of late. Due to many violation notices. As a newcomer you are raising eyebrows especially since you claim to have been on the British YA but we can clearly see that your Avatar is at 0% and your Q’s and A’s can not be found there. All the same welcome.

Tell me, you have been on a British forum for "some time"?  Yet your avatar is brand new, you have only been a member for TWO days!! Curious, curious!

Anyway, to answer your question:  This is the Yahoo SA Travel section.  We regulars are  mainly South Africans spread around ALL over the world,  We use this forum as our South African version of Yahoo Answers.  We ask and answer questions  here, although not all are strictly travel related.

BUT, we would like to have the opinions and knowledge from fellow South Africans who understand what we want, who understand our sense of humour, who use the same products and ingredients as we do, who have experienced the same things that we have and thus can competently answer our questions.  

We also like to use typically South African expressions, Afrikaans words that all South Africans are totally capable of understanding.  And, we enjoy jokes told by fellow South Africans, and that can be understood by fellow South Africans.

When we ask questions here, that does not mean that it is neither an answer nor a question, as some trolls are not capable of understanding.

The definition of a question is:  "question n. An expression of enquiry that invites or calls for a reply."

The definition of an answer is: "answer n. A spoken or written reply, as to a question".

So everything that is in the question part and is followed by a question mark, is indeed meant to be a QUESTION, and should please be understood as such.

And everything that comes as a response to a question is an ANSWER, and is to be understood to be an answer, even if others who read these responses are not able to understand that!!!

So, if you have managed to read through this far, welcome on board, ask some interesting questions, and give us some interesting answers.  South Africa is a huge country, and we are taking over the world through Yahoo Answers!!!

Yes, it's really good!! Some forums on the internet have turned into little sh*t holes because of people trying to be the "boss". But here, everyone's welcome, and you're ALWAYS guarenteed a responce to your question!!

Welcome and good luck. This is a very interesting and for the most part an enjoyable section, but something went wrong and everyone is fighting with everyone at this stage. So your timing is bit off. Just don't get dragged into the fighting and you will be fine. Hope you have a good time here. By the way, what information are you after in the SA section?

Add: Do's and Dont's on what, the SA section or South Africa in general? Well, those that I do know is: Don't get pulled into the fighting. Do enjoy yourself and answer the questions if you have an answer to give. Don't answer any political questions, it only gets you in trouble. Do ask questions about things you would like to know more about. Hope this helps.

It is full of very interesting people, even if some of them are whiteys and have forgotten that they no longer rule anything any more. But they are nice people too, just they do not understand how black people run countries.

There are some people that write "bull", but the rest of the people are great!
