Is this funny or mean? I have a poem I'm writing and I don't know if this is mean.?

In my english class our teacher said to write a poem about a class mate so I'm doing one about a friend of mine, and she said that she didn't care who the president is, so I wrote this for my last stanza

"She's glad shes not of voting age

or she would go insane

deciding who is worse

obama or Mccain" is that mean or not?

It's certainly not a slam aimed at your friend. It's not a compliment for either Obama or McCain but it's well said. I'd stick with it, I like it!

It's your opinion, and in a poem that's what really matters.

Yes, you want others receive it well, but the first thing that comes to mine is usually the most original. :)

This last stanza at least is not not mean and it is funny in a realistic kind of way.
