  1. You are 14 years old and have played golf for only 1 year.  Golf is a difficult sport to master.  The fact that you said you got better on the back 9 says a lot about you.  Depending on what golf means to you is how you should measure your score.  Is golf what is going to define you, or do you just play for fun?  Are you extremely serious about the sport or is it something you do for leisure?  At 14, don't put too much pressure on yourself.  Enjoy the game, learn as you go and make yourself better.  My opinion is that is not a bad score for a 14 year old playing a course for the first time.  Work on your mechanics and your score will go down next time.

I just checked the site for that golf course.  Very cheap prices for 18 holes.  Wish it was that cheap around here.

  2. to do better on the back nine, you need to think of the 10th hole of being the first, and you just starting to tee off. Like in the big championships, when people tee off at the 10th and the 1st tee because there are so many pepople, it workes for me :D !

  3. d**n right it's good.  If you can, get some lessons from a pro.  You'll be amazed at how you'll improve and he/she can correct any bad habits you might be forming before they become too ingrained.  Someday you may be playing professionally.  Good Luck!

  4. yea thats pretty good ! im 14 and started golf about a year ago also !! ilove it !

  5. im fourteen i have been playin for 2 years and i shoot around 84 its all about practise

  6. dont enter a tournament if you shot 129 in bloomington illinois most people at your age in tournaments will shoot 75

  7. for one year of golf i think thats fine. just make sure you practice the putts and chipping because thats were you drop the most strokes. Take like 3 balls and practice putting the 4 to 5 footers and then when you put from 20 feet away you know that as long as you get it to 4 feet from the pin you can putt the next one in with  no problem.
