Is this good for a beginner?

I have just bagan playing golf again. I played off and on last year but i havent had any lessons. Last week I baught new clubs. I shot nine over par on 9 holes. I have a terrible slice though and im constantley hitting out of the bush. Im 18.

yes thats good. get lessons before u can develop bad habits tho.

that is good for a beginner but once you get lessons you Will begin techniques like spin, pitch, and putting.

That's good, I started in February and had a terrible slice with every club except the putter.  I just kept practicing and was determined to fix it.  What do you know, I fixed it with Wal-Mart clubs and am saving for my first real set.  They are Nike SQ Sumos.

it sounds good, you need to look at your grip and how the club faces against the ball to see if they are making you slice

People play for ages trying to get under 100 for 18 holes ... 9 over par for 9 holes is better than that on average.

work out where your weakness is and work on that
