Bench: 170 approx. (i don't usually try to max out, and i don't do it that often)

Squat: 220 approx. (again i usually do more like squats on balls, balance boards etc, so im not sure of the exact number)

  1. No it is not good. You are too small and too weak to fight off blockers. Your job is to get off blockers and get to the ball. You should nnot be a LB. If you are quick and fast then I would suggest a move to the secondary where you hopefully don't have to engage a lot of linemen.

  2. its average, nothing wrong with it so dont worry.

  3. Well, since this is posted in the Canadian Football section, I'm going to assume that the poster is Canadian.  And seeing how many CFL LBs are in the 215-220 pound range, I'd say that 185 isn't really undersized for a kid playing high school football in Canada.  In fact, Tim Strickland, a LB for the Montreal Alouettes, is about the same size as you are.

Obviously, in the states, where pro/college linebackers can weigh up to 250 pounds, you would be undersized for the position, but I can tell you that on my high school football team, there weren't any linebackers weighing over 200 pounds, so, providing that we are talking Canadian high school football here, you're probably alright in terms of size and strength.

  4. definitely not a linebacker. maybe a safety or corner if your fast enough.

  5. its pretty good but you need to step it up if you get a scholarship i know iam goin into my freshman (college) year and they pushed me in the weight room a lot harder than i imagined i could

  6. yo should be able to bench your own weight, and 5'10 is a little (Zac Thomas) short for linebacker.

What you lack in height. you gotta make up with intensity, otherwise you dont have a chance.

  7. What is your 40 yd time?  For your age about 4.8 sec will get you a starter spot somewhere.  Size is a little light though.  If you're fast, a saftey spot or corner may be more your thing.  Good luck.  Work hard, hit harder.
