  1. ball  python

  2. well a corn snake will be able to live in the 10 gallon a little bit longer than the ball python. when your ball python reaches almost one foot you will have to move it to a 20 gallon long then  a 55 gallon. same for corns but they can stay in the 10 a bit longer. i like both but ball pythons are known for being picky eaters. that could be a pain in the butt sometimes. heres a site to each species so you can decide for yourself...

    good luck!

  3. I would recommend it for a corn snake because corn snake are smaller and thinner then ball pythons. But in the end you would need a better cage for them. At least 20-40 gallon. Ball pythons do need a warmer enviroment then you can you give(84-88F) so would a corn snake but they are flexible with it. So maybe around 80 or so.

I personally like both. They have their pros and cons.

    Ball pythons-

Pros: Stay rather small(5-6 feet), don't need so much attention(so don't need to be held daily), they have pretty slow movements.

    Cons- Bad eaters, very picky.

    Corn snake-

Pros: Stay rather small(5 feet or so), have very pretty color, excellent eaters

Cons- They do need to be held and have more attention then ball pythons, they have very fast movements, and sometimes when they are babies, they can be a little snappy.

But there will ALWAYS be a risk of getting bit when it comes to owning snakes.

Also do NOT buy snakes from petsmart or petco. Their snakes are in the WORST condition and most of them are probably sick. So maybe try a local pet store, craigslist, or resucing them.

Hope this could help a bit!

  4. corn snake.... end of story because of the temp. ball pythons tend to stop eating if they are not warm enough. but you will end up having to upgrade that tank to a 20 gallon tank in the first year and after that you might as well get a 55 gallon (or my preference a wood custom enclosure cause they hold humidity and heat better). despite what most people think snakes do not stop growing because their tank is to small they just become ill or have a stressed temperament. a corn snake should be alright with that temp tho but you need to do your research on humidity levels and day and night temps and so on and so on. this site should help tho http://www.anapsid.org/corn.html

  5. Corn Snake. You have a 10 gallon thats perfect for it.
