  1. I don't know if its good for them.  I never fed my hamsters dog bisquits.  They have hamster treats.  Feed it a treat for hamsters.

  2. you might wanna check with u vet before u do that but i don't really c a problem with that

  3. theyll most likely like them, but they're more of treats. Dont give them too many but 1 every so often is fine

  4. It depends on what type of treat it is. Stay away from things that are jerky-like, these can get caught in cheek pouches and cause infection. I also don't think things like marrow-bones or ones that are heavily basted would be a good idea. The best ones are plain old biscuit treats like Milk Bones. They're simple and shouldn't do any harm. As with any treat, it should only be given once a week or less. Feeding hamsters treats more often than that can cause digestive problems, which can cause wet-tail. That's the last thing you want your hamster to have. And be sure to only give small pieces, a whole bone is a bit much for a tiny hamster. Hope I could help!

  5. I have a book on hamster and it says to feed them one once a week.  Just make sure it doesn't have any garlic in it.

  6. I used to feed my hamster them every so often, a small dog bone shaped one with last about a week for an adult hamster, the way I see it is, its gonna be better to gnaw on that than the bars or a big bit of cardboard! Obviously don't go for the meat ones, the old fashioned ones are the best.

  7. Yes, actually dog bones are good for hamsters. They are good becuase they help their teeth stay good lenghth.

  8. Some dog treats are okay for hamsters, but others are not.  Check to see if the dog treat has any meat type ingredients.  These are not so good for hamsters.  If it does not have any meat in it, it should be alright, but I would still stick to other things.  They probably like it because it is crunchy.  Try just buying them extra crunchy treats at the pet store.  They're made for hamsters and probably better anyways.
