  1. Everlast is not very good for long-term use.  A lot of people call it "neverlast" because it wears out so quickly.

Also, a 40 lb heavy bag isn't very heavy...  I'd recommend at least a 70 lb bag.  Get some better bag gloves too - the ones in that pic are basically cheap fake leather mitts that won't do anything for protecting your hands.  If you have a friend you can train with, I'd really recommend some Muay Thai pads - I've attached a link to a video showing you how they can be used.  They are about the same price as a heavy bag, and you don't have to mount them.  Plus you can do more moving around, defense, etc. - but you definitely need a partner.

As far as the head gear -  stuff in your pic will get really hot and sweaty and the material will slide around a lot so you'll probably hate it.  Get a good leather and cloth head protector with a wicking material on the inside.  The all vinyl ones are terrible and uncomfortable.

If you are going to spar - get some good boxing gloves (16 oz).  If you spar with those little 4 oz ones you'll hurt yourself and your partner.  Make sure to get a mouthpiece and groin protection as well as some shin guards.  That way you can train hard but still be safe.

I'm not trying to bash on the idea - I'm just trying to help you get some decent quality gear for training. I would try titlemma.com and get some of their brand - title and throwdown are both "house brands" but well made and will last.  You'll spend more money, but you'll be happier in the long run.

And honestly - your best idea is getting some training.  They will have gear, train you, teach you much more than working out with your buddies.  There is no substitution for a good trainer/coach.

    Good luck!
