  1. Hahahaha...I am hoping you live in the Alaska tundra or something. LOL

Otherwise...you will probably pass out from heat stroke.

  2. wow.. dont u b hot in all that? but when i took dance class all we were allowed to wear was flesh toned tights and a leotard

  3. man how do you breath? aren't you hot in that? all i wear is tights, leotards, shorts and either a t-shirt or a tanktop.

  4. that's a lot! I only wear a black leotard, pink tights, a pink ballet skirt, and occasionally legwarmers. You seem to be wearing way more than you need. In ballet you need to be able to see the body to check form. You should try wearing a little bit less. Hope this helped!!

  5. No this isn't good for you. Some people like layers to sweat to lose weight, but they usually shed their layers after barre or halfway through barre. Ultimately you need your teacher to be able to see your body to give you corrections and help you perfect your instrument (your body). So you can layer up if it's cold and warm up before class, but once class begins, a leotard and tights and your ballet/pointe shoes is sufficient.

Also, layering up and being bulky can inhibit your movement and you might not be able to do some movement properly, so ultimately, wearing so much will slow your progress and growth.

  6. It sounds like it would be hard to dance in all of those clothes. I am only allowed to wear a leotard. If you don't want to wear a leotard and have no clothes restrictions, just wear comfortable shorts and a shirt. You want to be able to move when you dance.

    Good luck!!

  7. How can you dance in all that.

  8. If you are doing ballet you will not want to be bulky, and you will want to drop on all the layers. First off you should check your studio to make sure that they don't have any required dance wear. If they don't then you should do something lightweight, tight, and comfortable. For ballet a lot of people prefer to just wear a leotard and tights. At my dance studio a lot of people where a leotard, tights, and butt (booty) shorts over that. During the winter people tend to wear sweat pants over all that until their class starts, and/or until they are warmed up a bit. Remember though that your teacher will want to see your body so that she can correct your position and posture as much as possible, being bulky ultimately hurts you. Good luck!
