  1. That's great, but how the h**l do you find time and money to do all of that?

  2. I gotta go with Sifu Frank.  I'd increase the number of reps, as muscle, while good, will not help with technique.  People who tend to muscle or go through technique quickly without the accompanying smoothness are missing part of the training.

I am a Krav Maga instructor and I do 5 mornings a week in the gym, mostly to train core strength and cardio, I do lots of pull ups, parrallel pull ups, dips and tons of core stuff.  My work out alwasys ends with 8 - 10 3 minute rounds on heavy bag and kick bag, getting combinations smooth and balanced...Remember the old adage "slow is smooth, smooth is fast".

I have met many very good martilal artists some of whom have no weightlifting in their routines whatsoever, they stay flexible and have superb technique.  I have seen those who use strength as a substitute for technique, which it is not.

I gotta go with Sifu Frank, increase the reps and get some bag time in, otherwise, you are just a powerlifter taking some classes.

  3. if your excelling in all your different martial arts and your conditioning, then its great. you suond very dedicated, keep it up

  4. Sifu Frank should get the best answer. He nailed it.

Focus on one art, concentrate on higher reps and less weight for lean/functional muscle, and allow the martial arts training to do the rest.

  5. I am with Si Fu Frank. You are all over the place.

Ask youself the question, "What are you trying to accomplish?"

Set some goals for yourself and plan to achieve them. Then I think you can master one technique before introducing another.

  6. I would focus on one art at a time so you can better understand and internalize the principals of that art. I'm a fan of training in more than one art; however you need to try to get really good at one before adding another. Trampoline jumping is great for the legs and is a good low impact way to keep them in shape. You might add a little jogging on soft turf or in soft sand if you can find a place or use an inclined treadmill or orbital machine if you feel your legs need more.

For reps on muscle groups when you get comfortable with 10-8-8-6 try to move to 20-10-10-5. You don't mention bag work in your regimen. I hope you find time to work in about 40 min. a week of good solid bag work.
