Is this good when my parakeet does this does this?

Im am trying to teach my parakeet to say pretty bird.I have been doing this for a long time.And now everytime i say pretty bird he opens and closes his mouth and he moves his toung up and down to but he wont say pretty bird

He is trying to say it but he dosent know how to say P in Pretty bird cause its 3 sounds in one its PRI-TI  BR-D.

Give him sometime to figure it out.

My keets do this when I talk to them sometimes. Your keet is just mocking you, a start to talking.
