  1. Yes, if you take it the right way. If someone is infatuated with someone else it implies that the person is obsessed. They ignore any problems that are there because their emotions are so strong. Someone in love is no longer "infatuated" because they have lost the initial obsession. This sobering may occur when someone succeeds in their goal--i.e. they get engaged, married, etc. The person feels as if they no longer have to try so hard to please the person, because they think they've "won". Then the problems that always existed start actually affecting the people because they notice them.
