  1. First off do you like the color and design of the guitar?

Second, is this your first guitar?

Are you going to take it with you everywhere, or just play it at home?

Rule of thumb, play the guitar yourself, or get a guitar-playing friend to play it for you. (That's Me! :) ) Any good salesman will make a bad guitar sound good. Also, play a piece that's a well known so you know what it should sound like. Make the guitar really sing. Blues, Jazz, and Rock pieces don't show how good a guitar really is. Second, You can't really tell if a guitar is good over the internet. Your speaker quality, their recording thingy quality, and even the internet connection comes in to play. Also you never know if they had some sort of enhancement to make the guitar sound better. Always remember a steel-string electric acustic guitar isn't that good. I would recommend a nylon classical guitar, or if you are more advanced, a solid top nylon classical guitar. It gets better sound quality. Now I play classical guitar and i know a good guitar teacher who has good guitars at reasonable prices. Go to Musicmax.com or google musicmax. Good luck with your guitar purchase.

    Shortlist: Don't buy this guitar.

BTW: Paul, i would love a free lesson, you know where to reach me. I'm leaving the 29th of June.

  2. These guitars are great for beginners.  I got a Yamaha which is also great, but this is a good pick.

  3. Usually I don't advise buying musical instrument from the Internet.....I think that a person should try the guitar that their going to buy.....only because you can't really tell the sound, he could have it hooked up to a great amp which would make it sound better then it really does....and also I'm a stickler for trying the action of a guitar before buying....but from what I heard it doesn't sound to bad for $100.00. Well you could give it a try and if it's not what you expected then send it back !!!!! Good luck !!!!!!

  4. 1. do some research on what this model guitar would cost you brand new.

    2. make sure that the seller has a return policy as allowed on ebay

    3. find out if it is a solid top guitar (many cheaper guitars have laminate tops and sound cheap because of that).

if it is solid top, & you can return it if you do not like it & a brand new one costs over $600,...then you have a decent deal!

  5. yes Epiphones make quality guitars, especialy acoustic...not the best but pretty good. I have one myself and love it...not as much as my Martin tho lolz

  6. i play electric but started with acoustic i had the same kind these guitars are great the price is great too
