  1. Your Grandmother's sister would be your Grand Aunt, her children would be your 1st cousins once removed, her grandson would be your 2nd cousin, her great grandson would be your 2nd cousin once removed and her great great grandson would be your 2nd cousin twice removed.

  2. Your grandmother's children and her sisters children are first cousins.  Children of first cousins are 2nd cousins.

  3. Third Cousin. Your dad would be his second cousin.

  4. To determine this, you have to go back one more generation to the ancestor that YOU and those kids have in common.  So, really it would be that your great-grandparents is the common ancestor, and is also their great-grandparents.  Therefore, you are 2nd cousins.

Use this genealogy relationship chart to figure these things out.

  5. Call your dad Bob, his mother Alice, her sister Adele, and so on.

    Alice & Adele = sisters

Bob & Bruce = first cousins

Mike & Charlie = Second cousins

You should have been named "Cuthbert" for this to be perfectly clear, but then the guys would give you the business.

  6. Adair and Rick have it right.

If you are in the same generation coming down from a common ancestor there are no removes.  Once you are off generations then the removes come in.   Your first cousins' children will be your first cousins once removed and their grandchildren will be your first cousins twice removed.

  7. Third Cousin!
