Is this hadith sahih and where did it come from? I never read it before?

Abu Haraira says: "The prophet passed by us and said: What are you writing? We said: hadiths we hear from you Sir. The Prophet said: another book but the Quran?" Then Abo Hurayra says: "he collected what we wrote and threw it in fire".

That is not the correct wording of the Hadith, but I know which one you are referring to. I searched the Internet, and the only place I found the Hadith was on an anti-Islam site, and it claims that the Hadith is found in Musnad Ahmad.

Since I didn't find it anywhere else, I doubt it's a Sahih Hadith, and may have been altered or fabricated. I'm not sure, but I'll try and look into it.
