  1. It's more than simple harassment.  It's a crime.  Report it to the police.  I am sure that text message can be traced, although the police probably won't consider it very important unless it happens again and seems to threaten you harm.

  2. It depends on where you live.  The laws are different everywhere.  It probably is a crime.  Report it to your local police.

  3. It might be considered harassment is this is not the first occurrence and the recipient of of the communications has made it clear that the want do contact from the person sending the text message.  If the person who received the text message is wishy washy in what they want their involvement to be with the person who sent the message, harassment is harder to gauge or prove.

  4. I feel that this is harassment, but not a threat.

Although it makes someone feel uncomfortable it is not a legal issue until more then three such messages are sent. What I mean by that is that if only one message is sent the police will not be able to anything about it. If you are receiving messages like this then you should block whoever is sending the messages but do not delete the messages. If you have further problems with this person (or persons) call the police and show them any communications you have had with this person.

  5. i dont think that one message alone would be considered harrassment there must be more evidence than that.

  6. Big deal.grow up. forget it.

  7. d**n who do you give your cell # to?
