Is this hardware all compatible?

I have an Emachines T2892 computer and I have gotten so frustrated with the archaic limitations on the board so I decided to replace the board and processor. I have a low budget so I think these all give me the chance to experience modern gaming and multitasking. here is the board:http://www.ecost.com/Detail/Motherboards/Intel/BOXDG31PR/37943871.aspx

here is the processor:http://www.ecost.com/Detail/PROCESSORS/Intel/BX80571E7200/41168643.aspx

here is the video card:http://www.ecost.com/Detail.aspx?edp=39313338

I just need help on the RAM and if it will all be compatible, as well as dimensions. My tower is the stock T2892 one.

  1. Yes yes yes, I always recommend buying the best power supply you can afford...even at the cost of a cheaper video card. You can always upgrade the card later...but most people only get a new PS if it goes bad.

The proc and video card you listed are solid. But find another motherboard. That one is not for gaming so much, It has onboard video, which can be turned off and the card you speced used. But why bother? Get a gaming board that has a newer intel chipset (X45 I think) or an nforce chipset.

All the pieces in a pc support one another, no mater how fast your video card is, if your proc is a pIII games will play like c**p.

Same with chipset.  chipsets have different functions from sata controll to memory controllers.
