Last night, I started having this burning right behind my chest bone. It felt like i needed to take a bunch of deep breaths to feel better. I talked with my husband and assumed it was heartburn and it went away in about 30 minutes. Then later on in the night, i got it again...it was HORRIBLE. We were out bowling with friends and i had to just go sit in the bathroom and breathe really slow. One of our friends gave me some zantac and it was better really quickly. A few hours later, it was back again! It hurt SO bad....

So this morning, i googled hearburn and I don't know how it could have been that because it says it usually occurs after you eat something, and i hadn't had ANYTHING to eat for about 4 hours when I first got it. I had an alcoholic drink (a small one) but it is the same stuff i ALWAYS drink, so i figured it couldn't be that.

So, i've never had this before- EVER...and it couldnt have been anything i ate, because i didn't eat anything. And i don't know how it could have been the drinks because its what i always drink. It was just weird to have it so much in a time span of about 5 hours when i've never had it in my life.

It hurt so bad, and i just didn't know if there was anything else it could be, or if it could have been a symptom of something else completely.

  1. Yes, it's possible that this could be a form of heartburn but because of the Zantac helping the situation it sounds like it could have been something like acid reflux (an example only).

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
